Welcome to Lake Bluff Elementary School! At Lake Bluff, we prepare students to meet the challenges of tomorrow by providing an education responsive to each child's talent and abilities in a nurturing environment. Our school community values character education as well as academic growth. Our approach focuses on the whole child. Our innovative and energetic teachers and staff assist our students in developing the skills they will need to be life long learners.  Lake Bluff is fortunate to have an active parent organization that supports our school community through direct classroom volunteering, parent & student social activities, artists-in-residence programs, parent forums and so much more. 

Did you know that Lake Bluff was named a State School of Character this year by WCEP and a National School of Character by the National CEP at a National convention in Washington DC? We are the only school in the state of Wisconsin to receive this recognition in 2012 and one of about 25 in the entire nation. Our status as a National School of Character is awarded for 5 years. Shorewood Schools named a Top Workplace
In addition to having the top high school in the state, the School District of Shorewood is also one of the best places to work in Southeast Wisconsin according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The District was named the 32nd Best Midsize Company (150-449 employees) in the Milwaukee area.
SHS Chamber Orchestra to hold concert on 5/20
On Monday, May 20, the Shorewood High School Chamber Orchestra will present a concert at North Shore Presbyterian Church in Shorewood. The concert begins at 7:00 p.m., and there is a $5 suggested donation.
SHS Finale Concert to be held on 5/29
On Wed., May 29, the Shorewood High School (SHS) Band will present its Finale Concert at 7 p.m. in the SHS Auditorium. The program, which features the SHS Concert Band and Wind Ensemble, will include a performance of Gordon Jacob's Concerto for Bassoon by senior Lexie Lanphere and a combined finale performance of music from the Oscar-winning movie "Les Miserables." A brief awards ceremony and reception, honoring this year's Band students, will follow, shortly after the concert. Admission to all School District of Shorewood Band concerts is free.
Shorewood Celebrates Art Week
Shorewood schools will be alive with color this week as part of the District's annual Art Work celebration. As part of Art Week, there will be events held at all of the District's schools.
GRAD GRAMS available now
The Shorewood High School Class of 2013 will soon receive their diplomas. A GRAD GRAM is a great way to send all your favorite graduates a personalized note of congratulations! Each GRAD GRAM is $2, or you can spend your message to the entire Class of 2013 for $100.
